Rowland joined Kerry petroleum in 1973 when the company was a small oil distribution company distributing products for Irish Shell Ltd. Over the past 35 years, until he sold the company in August of this year, we grew the business and at the time of the sale we were the second largest family owned oil distributor in Munster and fourth largest in the Ireland. Our holding company has been involved in several business ventures and I continue to hold directorships in these companies. Roland is a former President of Tralee Chamber of Commerce, and was Chairman of Tralee and Fenit Harbour Commissioners for a number of years. Rowland is a keen sailor and also chairman of Fenit RNLI (Lifeboat). His latest challenge is studying for a pilot's licence.
