Gene is Managing Director of Boyd Associates Limited, a Management Consultancy Service based in Tralee Co. Kerry which he established in 2006. In this work he supports indigenous Irish companies as well as pharmaceutical companies in areas such as Development and Implementation of Strategy, Performance Management and General Management issues. The client base ranges from small start-up businesses to subsidiaries of large multi-national companies. Prior to the establishment of Boyd Associates Limited Gene was General Manager of Astellas Ireland Company Limited, a Japanese-owned pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry which supplies life-saving products world-wide. Gene originally trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, Dublin where he was Manager in the Small Business Division.
