FEXCO was founded in 1981 (formerly Foreign Exchange Company) and is based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry. Brian McCarthy has been awarded the following positions, Chairman of Interim Prisons Board for the Irish Prisons Authority; Director of Cork University Foundation and Director of Radio Kerry. Prior to setting up Fexco Brian worked with Allied Irish Bank for 18 years. Brian was honoured in October 2002 with receiving the Ernst & Young International Entrepreneur of the Year Award
